Lex dropped Felix to the floor so he could go make himself comfortable on his favourite counter while she headed for the fridge. That was the first stop right there. Loads of things to snack on in there. Her hazel eyes fell on Grayson the moment she heard the amusement in his question. His sense of humour was proving to be similar to her own. Seeing a kid doused in vinegar would be hilarious. She nodded at the part about the Common Room. "Yeah, one of my bestfriends is a Hufflepuff, she lets me. It's very...yellow in there. Legit, everything's yellow." Which explained why Lottie hated it in there so much. "Real cozy in there too but I reckon everyone thinks their Common Room is because they're meant to be." So no real distinction in the end she supposed.

And it was nice to know he could keep his mouth shut about things that happened around the castle. He would learn quickly that that sort of thing determined how much you enjoyed your stay here. Grayon was proving to be a good egg.

Ah and he thought not waiting for meals was brilliant. Was it any wonder they got got along seemingly well? He could value food and she could appreciate that. "There are loads of perks to being a prefect, sneaking out after curfew is one of them but anyone can do that if they know what they're doing."

Alexa laid out everything she'd gotten from the fridge onto the counter next to the one Felix was occupying before turning to Grayson. "How good at you at sandwich making?"

Lex was teaching him a lot. And not the boring stuff about blah blah keep out of trouble blah blah. No, this was IMPORTANT stuff, like how to get into the kitchen and what the Huggers and Finders are associated with. "Is that why their common room's so close to the kitchen? Because they're big food lovers?" See? Important to know.

Grayson didn't even notice that the kneazle had been dropped to the floor because he was still amused at the idea of someone being doused in vinegar. It was just FUNNY, okay? He was still listening to the Gryffindor Prefect, though. The story about being let in wasn't as epic as the idea of breaking in but whatever. She had still gotten the chance to have a peek inside. "No wonder most of them seem so happy and nice. Their common room must be really bright." YELLOW. Jeez, how did it not damage their eyesight? "Uh huh. 'Specially one you get used to it, I bet. Our one's very leathery and watery." Because she needed to know that.

Good eggs were precious and should be kept safe and not be made into omelettes, mkay?

Really, Grayson thought that being a Prefect was long and boring and definitely not something he wanted to do. But late night strolls? He tapped his chin thoughtfully before saying, "And if they don't give themselves away and get caught." Plus you had to come up with a good excuse for being out of bed after curfew too. Anyone who mumbled and stumbled to come up with an excuse was weak. "What are the other perks?"

Tucking his hands into his pockets, the Slytherin headed over towards the counter and eyed the food she had laid out. Sandwiches. "I make a mean ham and cheese sandwich," he started, looking over at her with a small smirk playing across his face, "I'm the only one who tastes them and I think they're pretty great." Why was she asking?
