Since she had been at Hogwarts, she had already made more friends than during her whole time at Beauxbatons. And Cris.......was the best.
Suddenly, Jasmine realized that she had been off in her own world for a moment. Here she was, in the company of this gorgeous man and she had been thinking about sad times instead of being in the present. "I'm sorry. You must think I'm terribly rude. I was just thinking about how things were at my old school and how glad I am to be here now........at Hogwarts and........here with you." Then just as suddenly Jasmine said, "Cris, I know this is rather random, but when is your birthday?" "Don't ask me why that just popped into my head, but I'd like to know." Jasmine was sure that Cris would think she was crazy. First not talking, then zoning out and then asking questions out of the blue.
Cris began to worry when Jasmine got all quiet again the moment he admitted that he considered himself the lucky one. Should he have kept that bit of truth to himself? He was about to apologize for embarrassing her, when she broke the silence.
The moment he heard what she had to say, the smile on his face got a whole lot wider. "
No, no, there's no need to apologize. If truth be told, I was about to apologize to you myself, for saying what I did. I mean we've only met each other...." Cris paused mid-sentence and then laughed. "
I guess I should stop before I end up apologizing again," he grinned back at her.
Then the next question, a random one which caused him to blink in surprise. "
My birthday? It was on September 13, right after school started. I rarely have the chance to celebrate it because start of term tends to be crazy for everyone. Starting classes, doing new stuff...you know what I mean. Anyway, I know you asked me not to ask why, but why did you want to know? When is yours?" Cris asked in return.
