The flesh of humans would be tempting enough as it was, there was no need to add sugars and savouries to the mix. Moving back up to the front of the class, she clapped her gloved hands together and beamed.
"Now... as we enter, keep close and don't wander... also, I advise you not to go touchy feeling the plants unless directed to do so. Again, I'd hate for any of you to lose a limb unnecessarily." And with those instructions in mind, wand out, keys out, Seren went about unlocking the greenhouse, and stepping inside.
"Gather round here please," she instructed as she moved a little way inside the greenhouse. The fanged geraniums, throat-latching carnations, lilies and hibiscus's turned their floral heads and snapped their fangs in their direction by way of greeting. Such darlings, were they not?
Stopping in front of two bushes, both of them deciduous with their leaves reddened by the Fall. Both were approximately four meters tall and both boasted berries on their balding branches. If it weren't for the fact that one had dark berries and the other vibrant red with leaves that had a serrated edge, then it would have been difficult to tell them apart. By all account, from a distance, they could pass for the same bush.
"Can anyone hazard a guess what these two bushes might be? And how you might have come to that conclusion," she asked once the students were assembled.
OOC: Please only try to guess ONE of the bushes, so that peeps may have variety. No editing answers, hands up, please answer the question only, additional information is not required at this stage. The lesson will continue in approx 15 hours.
Ethan's eyes widened as they were greeted by the flesh-eating plants. He was tempted to greet back by showing off his teeth, but decided against it. Those flesh-eating plants might not be that 'darling' after all.
The Slytherin made sure that he was within a safe distance away from those plants and turned his attention to the bushes that was being shown. He wasn't quite sure about it, but he thought it was worth a shot to throw in an answer.
Hand up.
"Is that a Barberry, professor?" he asked then pointed at the bush with the red berries.
Ethan made a face and shrugged at his own answer. Herbology isn't his strongest subject after all.
