Dan had been hanging back and was watching everything in silence as usual, but when Zoe was pretty much tackled, he snickered. Okay. Don't laugh. She was going to get revenge if she saw him laughing. He turned away and looked up to try and calm down. Oh gosh.

After a moment, he gained his composure and went over to his girlfriend, offering a hand as he caught up the gnome with his other hand.
