"I hate seeing you like this Cassie. Your eyes are sad." Thumbs wiped the tears from under both the young woman's eyes as she sniffled a little and leaned into the soft hands of her father. Cassie forced a smile and blinked the tears back. "I'm fine daddy, I'm quite cheerful." Blizzard frowned and moved his thumb just a little to cup the cheeks of his beautiful daughter. She was his first and for a while his only daughter and most prized achievement. "Don't lie to your father Dew Drop. Are you sad?"
Cassie met his eyes and nodded slowly.
