As soon as she was done with her cheesy spiel, she tore her gaze back away from him, a little bashful. It was nice to hear that he really did have every intention of staying there, and it hadn't just been some line he used to get her to not worry last term. "Okay." A pause, and then, "Thanks, sir." Meant a lot to her, but she didn't go on to say that. Surely he knew.
After another moment, she started toward the door, but she asked quietly, "Annie wouldn't fire you, would she? Aren't you two old friends?" It was a nice offer on his part, to walk her to the tower, but she rolled her eyes at him anyway. "Don't be silly. I'm the one who came to visit you down here. It'd be dumb for you to go all the way up there only to come allllll the way back down here. Waste of time, unless you have brooms or one of those cool flying carpets down here to navigate the halls better." Did he? Oh? "Sophie, thanks," he said with glee - he was just given a whole box of pineapple delicacy. Could like get any better?
Cosgrach smiled at her warmly. He could see she overworried about many things, so he was glad he could relieve her a little. "And you be here too. Until your real graduation." So that she didn't come to him and say, 'I'll transfer to Beauxbatons.'. Then he would be terribly broken too.
Cosgrach was so used to saying 'Annie', he hadn't realised how childish it sounded, actually. Especially while regarding to her. He chuckled as Sophie used the name, even though he knew he shouldn't have. "I'm sorry, Sophie, but it sounded different." Annie. "No, she wouldn't. We're good friends." His best friend here.
Flying carpet. Yeah. The thing he lacked in his life. "I don't, I'm sorry." Sigh. And, even though he tried not to show her, he was also relieved, y'know? That she wanted to go by herself? "Aren't you one kind Ravenclaw," he said and smiled vastly. He held the door open again. A lady deserved that. "Thank you for visiting, Tiny," he said in a sentimental note that suggested he was far more touched by the gesture than he looked, "and good night." Quote:

I'd like to get started tomorrow.'' Yep. Adi would be starting his brewing tomorrow so he'd be spending loads of time in the Potions Lab then. "Sure, sure," Cosgrach said and opened his door. "Stay here, and I'll be back." He was careful to close the door behind him again, in case someone heard them. It wasn't like they were doing a terrible thing, he just didn't want people to come to him for pranks.
After five minutes or so, he was back with the 'stuff'. They were in bags, which he must have conjured while in there, and he handed them to Adi. "Here you are, Adi. I believe the amounts are correct." Quote:

Of coure they weren't. Cosgrach wasn't going to sneak into his room, so he didn't feel the urge to soften his footsteps either. Once he reached the door, he drew his wand but - hadn't he locked the door? Huh. Weird. He felt a pang of panic then. What if someone -
Oh, there was someone. Alexa. By his table. He narrowed his eyes at her as he stood there with wand pointed at her, but then he told himself that she certainly couldn't speak Russian, and he lowered his wand. "How long have you been waiting for?" he asked as he swiftly moved towards his table and hastily collected all the papers in one bunch. |
