Jasmine had not said a single word all the time he had his hand against her face. That made Cris worry that he may have offended her by doing that. Like who would touch someone, especially their face, especially when they had only just met? Surely not everyone but he had done exactly that.

Then she closed her eyes and Cris began to panic. Was she about to scream? Was she afraid to look him in the eyes? Was she embarrassed to be seen with him? All those thought raced through his mind only to be quieted when he felt her relax against his hand.

When she opened her eyes and smiled, Cris knew that everything was alright. From the way she looked at him, he could tell that she wasn't afraid or upset with him. All that was confirmed when she next uttered those words.

"Thank you for being who you are too, Jasmine. However, I think I'm the lucky one," he smiled down at her. "You have the choice to pick anyone as your friend, and you chose to be mine. That makes ME the luckiest person here in Hogwarts."
