Spotting her friend leaning against the trunk of tree, Delilah grinned and quickly walked over to the other girl and gave her a hug. She'd missed seeing Cat's face, actually. "Hey! How are you?" The ants go marching one by one. Hoorah! Hoorah! Uhhh... Cat didn't remember the rest of the song... so she just continued watching the ants crawl over the tree trunk and then she started counting them. She'd gotten to 45 when she heard a voice. And got a HUG! Cat loved hugs! She squeezed Delilah with all of her strength and released the girl to grin at her. "Wonderful. I was counting ants. I might've started naming them if you hadn't come along." Which was a good thing cause then she would have gotten sort of attached to them and that was not a good thing.
Tilting her head, she gave Delilah a very serious look. "I was promised sandwiches." Not that she needed to be bribed to spend time with a friend, but... sandwiches.. |
