But someone WAS saying that they'll partner up with him. Someone, who, as he turned his head to look at, didn't seem to be that far away from his age. Good. The enthusiasm, though? Jeez, he knew he was important but was that necessary? And how was it that he always attracted the enthusiastic bunch? The ones that didn't need to take an Elixir to Induce Euphoria or a Babbling Beverage to show just how happy and bubbly they were. Jeez, they were tiring.

Reminding himself that the girl was willingly going to try his, a stranger's, potion, the boy decided to smile at her. "Thanks for partnering up with me! The potion's bright yellow so you have nothing to worry about," he said, holding out the cup towards her and giving her a small wink. What? It was true. Look at how well he had made the potion.

And he wasn't going to try hers until he was certain that it was brewed perfectly. Pity he hadn't been paying attention to her during the class. "The name's Grayson, by the way." And she was going to be the Bubbly Redhead unless she said what her name was.
