Lambrini hummed softly to herself as she walked out to the courtyard, her long, dark hair fluttering behind her. She needed to write her parents a letter to let them know how she was doing, and she figured this was as good a place as any to do it in. Finding an empty bench, she went to it and took a seat, crossing her legs and pulling her sweater tighter against her shoulders. She placed her bag beside her and opened it, digging out some parchment, a quill, some ink, and a book to use as her writing surface. Hmm. Now what to tell them...?

Dear Mom and Dad,
Hogwarts is... interesting, to say the least. It's HUGE, and ancient, and a lot different from NYC and the school we had in Jak's kitchen.
Speaking of, my surprise worked! Jak Jak had NO idea that I was tagging along on his trip to Hogwarts. You should've seen his face when I snuck up on him at the opening feast! I think he had a mini-heart attack. Haha. It was the best. Oh, and I was sorted into Hufflepuff! And luckily, so was Jak. It's nice, knowing he's never too far from me, and I'm never too far from him. I'm glad he doesn't have to be alone here.
We're settling in. I miss you guys, I miss Meeko, I miss my own bed, and I miss the city, but I'm ready to learn new things and go on some adventures.
Lamb bit her bottom lip as she stared down at the paper, considering what else she should include in her letter.
