"I have pictures of those sunsets if you want to take a look at that. I don't have them with me right now...they're back in my trunk. But I'll show them to you next chance I get," he told her excitedly.
Then he frowned for a second when the mention of pranking was brought up. He scrunched his nose and scratched the back of his neck, before deciding that he trusted her enough to reveal his bad boy days. "Yes I'm the occasional prankster...or should I say was. It started way back when I was attending muggle school. Sometimes lessons were boring, so I would try to spice them up a bit. I usually got away with it. Not so much in Durmstrang. Detention was more bearable than receiving the Howlers my mother would send me every time I got caught," Cris chuckled even as he recalled those moments.
"If truth be told, I much preferred my mother's howlers to my father's long and tiresome lectures about how much of a disappointment both Sander and I were," Cris sighed sadly as he turned to look out at the Black Lake. It was so peaceful here and he was glad he was here. Far from from his father disapproving looks.
He smiled when Jasmine reminded him about how serious the students took their Quidditch. "It's hard to believe how much life here revolves around Quidditch. However, in the same token, I also understand how hard it must be not being able to play it. Sander had a tough time in the beginning when he came here. He thought he wouldn't be able to play ice hockey here, but a friend of his told him about the Room of Requirements and how it could be anything you wanted it to be. Sander wished for an ice hockey rink and he got it."
"Is there anything you would like for the Room of Requirement to be?" Cris asked Jasmine in turn. Then he noticed her blush when he confessed that he was glad he had met her. When she answered the same in return, all Cris could do was smile at her, lost for words.
Jasmine smiled when Cris offered to show her pictures from his home.
"I would love to see them. I already know that they're beautiful just from your description." She was touched that he would want to share that part of himself with her.
Trying to picture Cris receiving a howler from his mother made Jasmine laugh. Her laughter faded though as he talked about how his father was disappointed in him and his brother. She could see the hurt in Cris' eyes and that made Jasmine angry. She didn't know his brother, but she couldn't imagine why anyone would be disappointed in Cris. Unless he had an evil/ crazy side that she hadn't seen yet, she just couldn't understand. It made Jasmine sad to see Cris so sad all of a sudden. She reached out and touched his hand.
"I don't understand how your father can be disappointed in you. He ought to be very proud that he has you for a son. Does he know how many people wish they could be so lucky?"
Jasmine was glad when the dark moment had passed and the talk turned to Quidditch and the Room of Requirement. What would she want the room to turn into?
"I could think of a few possibilities. If I had to choose just one thing, I think it would be a dance studio. Nice wooden floors, a barre and lots of mirrors, yep that would do it for me. I need somewhere to get my indoor exercise when the weather gets nasty. What about you? What would you wish for?"
