You chose a bad time to walk in.
Terry watched Theo knowing fully well that his promise of not telling anyone was just about to go out the window. Eh he didn’t care that much anyway. Was just a bit weird, was all. Deciding that the whole ‘baby face’ thing required a full explanation and not just Theo’s bland statement Terry sighed, leaned back and glanced at West. ”Culloden clearly forgot my name in Potions” he started, not really caring anymore. Meh. They could all call him baby face if they wanted. Just as long as his girlfriend didn’t mind his face, he was content. “Decided to get my attention by calling me ‘baby face’ instead.” He was adamant that it wasn’t accurate though. He was sure he looked his age, if not older. “Say it all you like, it’ll grow old eventually.” That went for all four of them.
Hopefully.
He couldn’t help but notice that everyone had either ignored or hopped over his shoe and the effort to get up retrieve it had gone completely. It was staying there. At least for now. Or a few weeks.
Ascanius seemed to be far too focused on giving Jozsua the stare for him to engage in the conversation and the Slytherin chose both not to ask and not to mention anything. He just hoped there would be no fist fights in the dorm, it was already getting awkward enough without anyone punching each other’s lights out. He drew his attention away from them but then came Theo’s sarcastic comment about sleeping. He threw his arms up in protest. “Well sorry about that, I just thought I’d engage everyone in conversation.” Merlin what a grumpy lot.
Well at least he got a smile out of someone cos it really didn’t look like anyone was in a good mood today. Except West. Either he was acting or his mood really had taken a turn for the better. Either way it was a welcome relief in this dorm. Jozsua’s comment though, Terry tried to look unimpressed but the smirk won over. “You never know.” It was the Giant Squid. “Alright, I probably misjudged when I chucked them.” Majorly it seemed. Right across the room. Heh. “I swear I will tidy all this up eventually, just not yet.” Next month seemed like the much better bet, or the following one.
And then West changed the conversation to food which was much more up Terry’s street. “When do I not have food?” he questioned, speech muffled as he looked under his bed for his not so secret stash, picking up two bags of crisps. ”Prawn cocktail or salt and vinegar?” he asked although in the end he threw both bags over. Eh he had loads.
Yes thank you West!
An idea. Engaging everyone into doing something because Merlin this was getting uncomfortable. He eyed Jozsua at the ‘sociable’ comment and then drew his attention back to West. “I’m intrigued.” Mainly because it would take away his boredom.
