Tellin' them you bribed me with sweets." Then he put the piece in his mouth and - "MhmmmMMMM, thi' i' grea'!" And, not caring at all about eating manners, he stuffed another piece into his mouth.
He was enjoying himself very well, don't mind him. HEHEHEEHEHE. Sophie couldn't look smug any longer after Culloden broke his fierce facade, and she giggled with the utmost glee. "M'part Gryffindor, y'know. Almost a hatstall, till I convinced the hat of Ravenclaw. A little bit of Slytherin in me, too. M'sure that's no surprise either." She watched him, satisfied as he did give in and dig into the sweets, and she was even happier when he approved of them.
He was almost a little too excited, though, wasn't he? Soph was still giggling at him, shaking her head. "S'okay. You wouldn't be entirely lying." She had planned to steal one of the sweets from him, but since he was enjoying them so much, she'd let him have the whole box to himself. "I'm very glad that you like them, sir."
Eyeing the time, the third year did rise to her feet and start the slow journey out from behind the desk, toward the door, but she stopped, hovering near where he was seated. "I should probably go. Probably not a good idea to be out after curfew on the first night back, y'know? But... I wanted to make sure you got your welcome-back-to-Hogwarts gift, 'cause I am glad you came back. There was a point last term where I wasn't sure if you would, 'cause you seemed so..." she searched for the right word choice, not wanting to hurt his feelings, "...disgruntled with some of the troublemakers of the class, but... you're knowledgeable and good at what you do. The school needs a professor like you." Pause. "Y'cant leave till after I graduate, okay?" She looked to him with big brown, hopeful eyes.
He wouldn't do that to them, right? Leave so soon?
