Her tone was light and teasing, as per usual, and she gave him a smirky sort of grin as he opened the office and let her inside. "Thanks. Brought ya something," she informed him, passing him the box of crystallised pineapple as she passed through the doorway.
Determined to be as much of a charming pest as possible - she had a whole summer to make up for - Sophie strolled right on over to the man's comfy-looking office chair behind his desk, sat down, propped her shiny new black dress shoes up on the man's desk, and laced her fingers behind her head, totally smug. HEHEHE. Totally nonchalant, she admitted, "S'nice to be home." His office felt like a safe haven, and her whole body language made it clear that she was totally relieved to be there. No place she'd rather be. Cosgrach was still far too nervous to reply wittily back. "Not for me, but you never know." He shrugged, and kept the door open for her as he re-holstered his wand. He then took what she was offering him, but in the dim light, he couldn't see it. His office was well illuminated with magic, though, and once she was inside, he absent-mindedly closed his door while his other hand fumbled with the box. He didn't pay any attention to her at all before he could open it and let out a satisfied "Oh.
"That's very considerate of -"
She was occupying HIS chair in that demeanour.
See, it wasn't like he didn't try. He tried his best to frown and glare, but with her, it just never happened. With her, he burst into a very well amused laughter, and he had to put the open box on his desk not to drop it. "'S--HAHAha--nice to--HEHE--haveyouback'ere--OHSOPHIEOHMERLIN!" He dramatically wiped his eyes as he flopped onto those chairs in front of his table. "Hope you're enjoyin' it. You're the only person to be allowed to do that." Quote:

"Hiii, Professor!'' the third year greeted and failing to notice the man was looking sleepy even though his face was very much close to his. "How are you? Had a good summer? It's pretty good to be back, isn't it?'' He followed Culloden into the office. "Nice office, Professor,'' he said after a moment of surveying it. Adi particularly liked the rug. So pretty.
Anyway. To business! After making himself comfortable in one of the seats, the Puffer began to address the reason as to why he was here. "Professor, My best friend Benjamin Atreyu doesn't like to talk much and it drives me crazy sometimes so I'd like to slip him a Babbling Beverage sometime.'' Uh huh. Adi was going to be quite honest with his intentions because he didn't think his idea would harm anyone. "The problem is, Alihotsy and erumpant aren't available to students. So, I'd like your permission to have access to them.'' Pretty please. And then Cosgrach yawned the biggest one in his whole life that it was pretty disrespectful to Adi, but he couldn't help it. His eyes watered at the effort, and he wiped them quickly before closing the door and moving slooooowly to his comfoooortable chair. "I'd be-be-been," he tried to stifle another yawn, "very busy during summeri but I s'ppose it's good." He was still far too silly to think straight, so he also completely forgot to return the questions. Adi was actually pretty lucky Cosgrach didn't throw him out, did he know?
Yeeea - yaaaaaawn. "Sorry, Adi," he quickly apologised before the boy stated why he was there, and soon enough, he was grinning mischievously. He still was badly sleepy, but he was looking definitely sharper and this was enough to wake his brain up. "You should definitely help your friend, of course," he said, but he then cackled with malicious laughter. Adi had some Slytherin in himself, after all! "Who am I to stand in your way?" Oh, he was no one! "I just ask one thing: that I want to have a conversation with him when you give him the potion too. Just a small one, I won't steal much of your time."
If someone like Adi had to use a potion to make him talk, little Benny TRULY never spoke. |
