"Well nice to meet you m'ladyy..." he said bowing down before her playfully. He wanted to show is funny side. He was hoping it was working.
He nodded in agreement and she was here to send a letter too? Well obviously it was the Owlery, it was a stupid question to begin with. "Erm i actually just sent a letter with my owl Charlene. My mom made me promise to keep more in touch this year. I am really bad with writing letters to tell you the truth.." he said looking at the window. "Do you have your own pet owl?" he asked her.
Plus he was always curious about this..."And how long have you and Toby been friends?" With Hufflepuff being the house she could see herself in least, Sophie was constantly surprised at how charming and easy to get along with many Hufflepuffs were. Some were too nice for their own good, but so far, this Kace fellow was a great candidate for a real friend. He had a sense of humor, at least, and seemed keen on joking around. That was enough for Soph. "You know it. Chose it, though - I was almost a hatstall. I'm really a Ravenclaw-Gryffindor hybrid with a dash of Slytherin." She was smirky, anticipating his reaction to her indirectly declaring herself as no-parts Hufflepuff. "Glad I scream Ravenclaw enough to feel reassured that I made the right choice. 'less you were basing that comment entirely off of my robes, in which case, I'll still pretend like there's just something about me that gives off a Ravenclaw vibe." She was laughing, then, and continued as he bowed. Funny guy.
Aw. Mothers. "Gotcha. I've got one for my mum, too. I don't keep in touch all that often - she knows I'm too fast-paced and living in the moment to remember to keep her updated too often. Just letting her know we made it safe to school and stuff." And about Quidditch, but she didn't need to bring that up to Kace. Touchy subject. "Naw. I have my own, but I'd rather leave him at home, since I hardly make use of him." She took a moment to choose a school owl and attached the letter to its leg, feeding it a small handful of food in gratitude before sending it off.
Kace had brought up Tobes. Heheheheheheheheehe. She straightened up a bit, giddy as could be that the boy was the topic of conversation now and chimed, "A year. Feels like longer, but it's kind of a funny story, actually - y'remember the first potions lesson last term? When we brewed that warm potion that tickled a whole lot when someone breathed it on you? I needed to try it on someone for my homework and there he was in the courtyard, looking as unsuspecting as could be. He was cute, y'know - couldn't resist - so I ended up sneaking up on him - he's crazy ticklish, I learned - and it ended up sealing our friendship." She had started walking around the owlery as she talked, the smile never leaving her face as she examined all the different sorts of owls.
"Oh, and don't worry, it was fair - he had his potion on him, too, and ended up getting me back. Kinda hard to not walk away from tickling the snot out of each other as anything less than friends, but we became besties. Sort of right then and there." It was weird to reflect on how easy their friendship came about, since most friendships were kind of a gradual thing over time. But Sophie and Toby? It couldn't have been easier. She snapped out of her distant thoughts to that day and turned on Kace, still grinning, "Are you two close, sharing a dorm and all?"
