Well, THE PROBLEM was posted at the door. The redhead paused just short of the exit and slowed her pace, her bright blue eyes searching for an exit, any other exit, out.

There was no other exit. None that wouldn't be BLATANTLY obvious. And rude.

So Annie had no choice but to square her shoulders, toss her red mane back, and strut past Jake Updale. Whatever his name was. "Hello," she said coolly as she moved by, "thanks for keeping our castle safe...."

That was a generic enough brush-off, no?
