He didn’t dare speak and was following the instructions so precisely so that he didn’t make a mistake. He didn’t want to be on the Professor’s bad side after all.
He carefully moved things out of the way as he set up his cauldron onto the fire. With a flick of his wand, Terry turned the heat up to the ‘high’ setting, watching the flames with his eyes before tearing them away to watch the students going over and cutting their pieces off the dragon heart.
He waited patiently for the heart and the scales to become free before wandering over to it. It didn’t look to grotesque but the thought of where it had come from was a little disheartening. No pun intended. Still, the Culloden had explained that the Dragon died from natural causes in a reserve and the Slytherin felt comfortable enough to go and cut off his two kilograms. Which he did, carefully and slowly using his scalpel and then weighing it on the scales to exactly the right measurement. He wasn’t willing to make a mistake today. He headed back over to his cauldron and carefully added the slice of heart into his cauldron, head tilted slightly at an angle before awaiting the next instruction.
Which had come fairly swiftly after he had finished the last step. He lifted his chin up to glance over at the board with a slight look of confusion. A whole pomegranate? Nothing done to it? No slicing, or cutting, or removing the pulp? Well.. Okay. That was fairly easy to do, wasn’t it? He picked up his pomegranate and added it into his potion.
