GEEZ LOUISE!

Seriously? The boy's eyes absently went to the small stash of chocolate he still had hidden in his pocket and then went to the Prefect. "That's not true, is it? Why would the Healer do that?" Was candy bad for you if you were sick?
"I suppose not, but the way you dress says a lot about you," said Louis with a shrug. He understood the kid's frustration, but he could also understand his mother's point of view. Geez, was he glad he didn't have to deal with kids for a looong time. "How do you usually prefer to dress?" he asked, turning to the boy with a raised eyebrow. Maybe he just had terrible fashion sense and his mother was trying to save him from it; it certainly seemed that way based on his selection of shoes.
Lou bit at his bottom lip to keep from laughing, considering for a moment if he should just be honest with the kid or drag the little joke a little longer. Hmmm. He opted for the latter.
"I'm afraid it is." Grim nod. "It's because candy lowers your defenses against the germs, so no matter how much medicine they give you, it won't work if you keep eating candy."
