She crouched just a little bit, (being 5'10 and dealing with the rugrats was harder than she thought) and smiled. "We're a pretty awesome house, you know? A few of them need kicks up the behinds and swats around the head and just a bucket of ice being poured over their head, but...it's very family like here. It'll be like home for you soon..." And that was definitely something Elodie had needed to hear when she had been sorted here. Being the first Hufflepuff in generations of Slytherin and Ravenclaw sortees was the worst thing for her eleven year old self.

"Thank you," she said again. She meant it. She didn't know if it was a lot to ask, but it was still very nice of Elodie to do.

Hallie smiled a little. Very family like. That was comforting, in a way. "It sounds lovely..." And it did. She still wasn't sure about it, but all the same, she was stuck and she'd need to adapt. "I'm not sure why I was put here but it was for a reason, so I think in the end I will do well here. I do well with most things." She nodded three times and curled her hair behind her ear. She wasn't going to be used to anything for a while, and it was going to be so, so hard being away from Coral, but at least she had a pretty and smart Prefect and would see Coral in classes. She'd have to make the most of it here. Still, maybe in the summer they could convince their parents to revoke their punishment...
