Not casting, just offering advice.

Her attention had only shifted briefly before it was brought back by the tugging at her robes. "Hey, you did! See? Nothing to it once you concentrate and have the right intent." Key things when spell casting. She would let her get back to her work though. If she needed her she'd tug again, and Lex was now keeping an eye on her anyway so all was good.

Turning to her own cauldron again, she gave a tap beneath it. "Incendio." She turned the fire as high as it would go--what? He did say 'high' then got to measuring her chunk of the dragon heart. It wasn't exactly 2 kg but it was close enough and the instructions said it didn't matter. Dare she trust Culloden with estimations? She probably shouldn't ...but it was awfully close and she didn't want to go cutting more so fine. Believing him just this once.

There. Dragon heart added.

Beaming from her success still, her smile slightly faltered at the professor telling her that she couldn't have a pet unicorn. That was really too bad, but she could always get another magical creature and she would wait and bombard the creature professor with questions pertaining to pet ownership.

She needed to heat the cauldron again and that was once again something that she didn't know much about. Deciding to lean on Lex again she watched as she merely tapped her wand. The spell sounded bold, something that definitely went with fire in her opinion. "Incendio... In-cen-dio... In-cen-d-io...Ha, that sounds like onion soup." Merlin, she was hungry. She was not going to be able to heat the cauldron up if she couldn't keep her mind off of food for long. "Incendio." Wand tap. Stone cold and not even a flicker of fire was present.

Not wanting to waste ten years trying to figure out the spell she decided to say the spell louder and tap the wand harder. It made perfect sense in her mind. "Incendio!!!" and just like that flames were present, but they were too big... far too big. They licked the sides of her cauldron and went straight into the air. O.O She knew this was most likely not a good thing, but she was impressed and not sure how she should really handle the situation. With a twinkle in her eyes she turned to Lex and whispered "Awesome."
