Ezra had decided he wanted to try and look around the Grounds a bit before his Potions lesson that afternoon so after breakfast he set out across the lawn towards the forest. He'd been told by his parents, Alexa, his Head of House, and basically EVERY OLD PERSON EVER that it was called the Forbidden Forest for a reason but why name it something that just makes everyone, especially eleven-year-old boys, want to explore.
As he traipsed closer he noticed a big ole hut placed against the first row of trees. Maybe a Mountain Troll lived there or it could just be a storage building. The little Gryffindor crept up to it's walls and climb up the side on top of some logs to try and peek into a window. No luck, the curtains were drawn. Poo.
He looked around for other people before trying to decide if he should take a few steps into the shaded forest when he heard a sound.
Not he sound of footsteps or someone shouting at him to get away from the trees, it was more like a humming or buzzing sound. That only piqued his interest even more. He hopped off the logs, stumbled and fell on the grass before walking closer to the back of the cabin to investigate the noise.
It was a bunch of boxes on stilts with bees zooming in and out of them.
