Jasmine entered the Ravenclaw Common Room and stopped for a moment in awe of her surroundings. She wasn't exactly sure what she had expected, but this far exceeded anything she could have imagined. This place was awesome! Looking around, she became aware that she was one of the first to arrive. There was only one girl in the room sitting by the window and she seemed to be about Jasmine's age. Walking over to the other girl, Jasmine said, "Excuse me". "Hi, I'm Jasmine. I'm new to the school. Do you mind if I sit here?" She hoped that the girl wouldn't mind and would not consider her a bother.
At the sound of the door opening, and the soft padding of footsteps, Charlie looked up from her intertwined fingers and unlocked them so she could run them through her hair. She wasn't quite ready to go up to the dormitory, for a book or otherwise, so she stayed put and offered a smile towards the girl who was now approaching her. She was almost glad for the company, just to take her mind off being back here.
"Hello, Jasmine. Pretty name. I'm Charlie." Not so pretty name. It was actually quite a boyish name, and she could not be further from a tomboy. SIGH. Anyway.
"New? That was me two years ago. Don't worry, you'll settle in fine. You got the best house." And she was totally not biased at all.
"What year are you in?"
