Jasmine entered the Ravenclaw Common Room and stopped for a moment in awe of her surroundings. She wasn't exactly sure what she had expected, but this far exceeded anything she could have imagined. This place was awesome! Looking around, she became aware that she was one of the first to arrive. There was only one girl in the room sitting by the window and she seemed to be about Jasmine's age. She appeared to be deep in thought and Jasmine did not want to disturb her, but........since they were the only people in the room, she couldn't exactly ignore her.

Walking over to the other girl, Jasmine said, "Excuse me". "Hi, I'm Jasmine. I'm new to the school. Do you mind if I sit here?" She hoped that the girl wouldn't mind and would not consider her a bother.
