Research? That Peru field trip? Zombies? Demelza started playing with her hair apprehensively. If the professor thought all of that was fine, then he was a bit crazier than she thought. But to each their own. At least he hadn't spent the entire summer sneaking into any bathrooms and scaring the living daylights out of any girls who were innocently doing their acting exercises. That was a plus. Ahem.
The girl began to sway where she stood as she continued twirling a piece of her hair with a finger, her wand forgotten for the time being. She determined that there was really no need to be so edgy in this situation. They were simply talking about what they did over the summer. Hopefully there was no danger in that.
"It sounds like I missed out on a rather ... exciting field trip," she replied, actually quite reluctant that she had decided to avoid a zombie attack by not going. "I stayed at home and got private lessons from one of my WADA professors to catch me up with everything that I missed. She was quite impressed with my ability to channel the nature of an elderly person." After being old for so long last term, it came quite naturally. "Then I spent time with my friends, went to the Globe, things like that. It was really nice."
Oh. He thought that mirror was interesting? Demelza gave him a look. He certainly was a strange character.
"I don't think it is that fascinating," the Gryffindor said bluntly. "I need to see my own reflection, and it just shows this room. Yes, it is really nice. But how am I going to watch myself sing if I can't see my own reflection?" Obviously she knew that she was an amazing singer, but she needed to see if different stances improved the quality of her sound or not. It was the only way she could become the best of the best.
