Zander hesitated for a few seconds before walking into the classroom. There was something about being down in the dungeons that gave him a chill. He mustered a "Hi Professor", but that's all he could get himself to say. Sure he had been able to strike up a conversation with a fellow Gryffindor at the welcoming feast, but he had to work in baby steps. Besides, speaking to a professor was much more difficult and at least he said something. Zander looked around the classroom and found a seat that was far, far away from the professor. Maybe next lesson he'd work up the courage to take a seat in the front, he is a Gryffindor for goodness sakes. But again, baby steps.
