But the boy was soon snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Lex talk to him. Kind of. "Hm? Oh, no, I don't usually go inside right away. Not until I hear the Headmistress about to announce her speech," Because then Jun would just have to sit through that and have food right after. Lady's speech was usually long and nothing important Jun needed to know.
"Did you find Felix?" Answer would be yes since the smart kneazle always came back. "You're not heading in yet either? This place reminds me of the planning about candy dates last term" And the small sugar rush he ended up having after them every time.
Know something? That was actually a really smart strategy that she could no longer employ, thanks to something along the lines of leader etiquette. Had to go greet the lions, welcome the new ones and all that fancy jazz that she couldn't really say she cared for. The feast would drag on forever and the term would be even longer. With them sharing a Common Room she was bound to run into them all at least
once. Was she the only one that realized this?
"How very Ravenclaw of you." She commented, glancing over at the entrance. She'd go in at some point, of course.
"Reckon you'll get lonely out here waiting though, unless you've already found something to occupy your time?" Yeah, she saw the way he was eyeing the stairs.
Lex gave a small nod at his question.
"I did. He'd made his way back up to the Prefect Compartment while I was looking for him. Found him curled up on the seat I was using." Waiting for her no doubt. The kneazle had a good sense of direction, lost was the last thing she ever expected him to be.
"I figured I'd stalled enough before going in but I can keep your company for a while." It'd only give her more reason to not go in there which was fine with her. There was a smile at the mention of the candy dates.
"We're having some this term too...unless you're still trying to limit the amount I eat in which case I'll have those candy dates by myself." Just saying.
