Jake figured that the smartest place for him to stand would be the entrance to the Great Hall. After stepping through the large wooden doors and beholding the majesty of the place for the first time in almost ten years, he decided to remain where he was. Of course, standing here put Jake almost perfectly in line with a certain Red-Headmistress (oh ho ho) which made it all the more fun for this Hit Wizard.
Not that this was a fun situation at all. Serious business and all that.
Frowning slightly at memories from the very Hall, Jake stood up a little straighter and used the back of his hand to adjust the position of his glasses. He stood tall and silent and kept staring out intently over the Great Hall, occasionally crossing to the other side of the doors and glancing at out into the Entrance Hall at those who were still arriving.
Just. Y'know. Keeping his 'eyes peeled'.
Maybe after the speech he'd mosey over the Hufflepuff table. Just for old times' sake.
