Honestly, Layla had been totally over the whole trip ever since the mudslide and subsequent near-troll thrashing. So much so that she'd almost begged to be allowed to leave with the headmistress. But she had stuck it out, and now she was regretting it. How many more caves were they going to look through before Romanos decided to give it up as a lost cause?

She had been half tempted to walk directly through the waterfall to enter this cave, but thought better of it. The waterfall was definitely more powerful than a typical shower and she really didn't feel like being washed downstream.

And Flamsteed and Cris earned a side-eye from her. Hadn't Romanos said to be quite.......? Or had she just imagined that?
