Where was he going to lean his head to sleep though? He had no doubt that, as filthy as the train was, it must be dirty and filthy everywhere and he was not going to lean his head on filth.

He was annoyed. And when he heard the tapping on the compartment door, he was even more annoyed. What did they want? With a deep frown on his face, Gary stared at the girl who just...asked if she could join her. The Slytherin boy eyed the girl from head to feet. She didn't look stupid, like a mess or whatever he didn't like. And actually...she could be considered a pretty girl, so why not? Plus if he couldn't sleep, having a conversation with a girl could make the journey kind of bearable.

He gave her a polite a nod and shifted his gaze on his owl. "Careful with the bird, though."
