Ian watched the interaction. He wasn't the MOST observant person in the history of the world, however he sensed that Angel wasn't as excited to see AJ as AJ was to see Angel. Of course, he could have been completely misreading things (because it's not like that HASN't happened before) but it seemed that Angel was a little unhappy with AJ. He was also a little surprised they had another sister and neither knew where she was nor did they seem to care.
Odd he thought to himself. His mum and dad had made sure that everyone had a travel buddy when they went places. Granted, it could be because they had to keep track of 8 kids, but maybe they just wanted everyone to feel like they had someone. Of course, with Ian gone his sister Grace didn't have a travel buddy, but she didn't seem to mind.
Hello Angel. Nice to meet ya. He looked around and there didn't seem to be anyone else's things in the compartment.
Mind if we join ya? Looking for a place to sit on the way to Hogwarts and well, I've started talking to yer sister and this seems like a good place to sit.
He noticed she was holding a rather large book. He asked,
What ya reading there? That's a big book.
