Piers followed the boy to the racks of robes and looked for size. He held one up to himself, but it looked a little too big, so he kept looking through the options. "Yeah, I guess so." Piers shrugged in response to the other boy's question. Piers was the only Piers he knew, and he was half-French, so... yeah, his name was French. He hadn't really thought about it before.
Hey, he was starting at Hogwarts this year too! "Hey, me too! What house do you want to be in? I want to be in Slytherin. That's where all the cool kids go." He grinned as he picked up a robe that looked about his size and draped it over his shoulder to keep his hands free.
"Hi," he replied to his new friend, Javy. "Where are you from?" Because Javy wasn't a normal name.
Kneazles.. Crups.. Javy just knew he would have to pay that shop a visit, just so he could see what they had in store. Literally. "
Right." Nodding about the owls, he definitely knew about those. Suddenly, he was wishing he had asked more questions during that sit down talk with his family when some of the Ministry came over to explain things. It sucked being the dumb one.
Speaking of.. how were the robes meant to look. Did they need to drape to his ankles? His toes? His knees? Picking one out the try on, he put it back after seeing the sleeves drape over his fingers.
Yeah, not that one. Looking back at Piers, he couldn't help but blink again at the house. "
..House?"
I thought we were living in a castle.. can it actually fit real houses? And what is a Slytherin-style? He ignored the 'cool kids' part, since he didn't know Piers that long enough to determine what he considers to be 'cool'.
"
Hi.." Since it was good manners to reply to that. "
I'm from Spain... the farms of Madrid." Since he didn't fully confirm on his name's origin. "
What about you?"
