He was gracious for her easy acceptance in his guiddance towards the back of the shop, even if he could still feel tension in the way she held herself beside him as they walked the short distance. Despite the shop being closed for the night, Nigel still prefered to keep what they wanted to talk about to a more comfortable setting and his office was the best option where they were.
"Its not the worst..." he said admittedly with lack of any idea of what else to say at first. Worse would have been in the middle of the shop surrounded by the hustle and bustle of his summer customers leaving him slack jawed and unable to continue his works as he dealt with what she had confessed to him. That would have been horrible and embarising and even more confusing at the same time. Yet Nigel would never expect Elinor to do such a thing as she did her best to make sure he wasn't too far out of his comfort zone.
Nigel moved at first to take a seat at his work bench, letting him dwell in his own space. But as their hands were still connected and the potions master found himself unwilling to break the connection just yet, he settled instead down on the couch that resided there from some previous shopowner. The space beside him open for his companion to join him if she so chose.
