Emmylou is a very shy, Peter Pan obsessed and quiet teen but she can be outspoken at times when you least expect it. Emmy is very outgoing, funny and caring once you get to know her. She loves being in the outdoors and finding some frogs, turtles and other animals that girls shouldn’t being playing around with. When Emmylou is bored she loves to just read all day. Emmy is very intelligent, loyal, kind, patient. She loves to learn to new things everyday and she dreams to travel to Neverland one day or Disney World, whatever one comes first.

Emmylou Leela Duchannes was born on a early stormy morning in New Orleans, Louisiana to Amara Holmes and Benedict Duchannes. Her parents both attended Hogwarts for all seven terms, her father was a Ravenclaw and her mother was a Slytherin. Emmy’s parents had known each other since their first year, they were best friends until in their fifth year they started dating. Emmylou was born eight months after parents had graduated from Hogwarts. Benedict went into the family fishing and farming business. Amara is a Broadway star, she had been in five Broadway shows since graduating Hogwarts, she is now starring in Wicked as Glinda the Good Witch.

The last few years have been tough on Benedict and Amara’s relationship because Amara has been living in New York City while Benedict has been in Alabama taking care of Emmylou for half of her life. Amara barely visits her husband and daughter anymore.

{ Hogwarts Life }

Third Year { 2083 - 2084 }

Emmylou had mostly been sleeping on her very first train ride, she was tired out from all the fun she had been having over the summer holiday and she was over excited about going to Hogwarts and being sorted into one of the four houses. Emmylou was very nervous yet very excited about the sorting ceremony, she didn’t know how to contain herself. At first Emmylou didn’t know that her name of called, she was paying attention but maybe it was just the shock of finally being at Hogwarts and not at Beauxbatons that made her happy. Emmylou felt like it was taking her forever to finally get sorted once it was finally her turn. To Emmylou it seemed like the sorting hat was trying to find the perfect place to put her. She didn’t want it to be in Slytherin partly because she knew that she wouldn’t fit in there and it would have been the wrong house. It was her mother that had put the pressure on her for having to be in a certain house. Emmylou was very happy once she got sorted into Gryffindor. Some of her friends were in that house and her favorite and other Aunt was in that house when she went to Hogwarts, but on her way over to the table she ended up falling on her face, it could have just been the smell of the food or her being over excited about finally having a house to call her own.
