Hands in her pockets as she went,
Seren tagged along at the end of the line with her husband. This was the last thing she wanted to do today, or during her holidays at all, but the sooner it was done, the sooner it would cease plaguing them. Besides, they were still together for the day. One family unit.
"They look busy..." Seren observed, her head turning to look up and down the length of the line and the counters.
Her blue eyes turned to her son as Aron removed him from his shoulders, already anticipating the tantrum.
"Shhhhh shhhh shhhhhhhh," she soothed, her arms already around Derfael and picking him up to hold around her waist. Merlin he was getting heavier. What did he weigh now? The equivalent of a moderately sized potted puffapod?
"Mummy's got you," she cooed, kissing his blonde hair gently. And now that she had no work obligations she could hold him all day and all night for as long as she needed to.
