Austin walked into Ollivanders, his face slightly red. He hated the idea of having his parents watch him get his first wand. But no matter how fast he ran, there was no escaping them. A few minutes after Austin arrived, his parents entered the shop.
"Austin, there's no need to run." His father said in a stern voice.
"Oh leave him be dear, he just wants to get his first wand on his own. Don't worry hun, we'll be just over here." His mum then linked arms with Austin's dad and together they sat down on the chairs against the walls.
Shaking his head a little, Austin walked to the back of the line, and waited, hoping he could get things over with quickly. After a few minutes, a measuring tape started floating around him. Being from a wizarding family, flying objects weren't new to him, so he knew to stand still and let it do its thing. But he still felt uneasy about the odd way it was measuring.
