Hogwarts RPG Name: Kaitlynn Hopsisk Second Year | Hope is the only thing stronger than fear. Quote:

Beans was eyeing the pygmy puff suspiciously, like the rat was trying to figure out if it would eat him or not. "I'm Caleb, by the way," he added. It had been a while since he met someone new!
However, it didn't stay quiet very long because a moment later, Cutty had joined them. Cutty didn't seem to notice Hope - or he was deliberately ignoring her. Probably the latter. Caleb glared at him a bit for being rude but then sighed and scooted towards the window to make room for everyone. Typical Cutty, being - well, Cutty. "I know, right? Took them long enough," he grumbled. At least he was all better now, no more peppered hair and wrinkled face! "Oi, what was all that at the feast? With Flamsteed?" he asked, referring to the polyjuice thing. He was more occupied on the cure at the feast but now that THAT had passed, he was curious!
WOW this compartment was popular. Now Grace was in here - he smiled and gave the daughter of his parent's former classmates a wave of welcome as she walked in. And then there was a Hufflepuff girl, who very loudly introduced herself and gave basically her whole life story to them in one breath. She seemed to know Hope? Caleb gave her another friendly smile, despite the fact that he didn't really CARE what year she was and all that. Puffers - always oversharing. "Nice to meet you, I'm Caleb," he said with a smile. He didn't care about her little ramble BUT he wasn't going to be rude either! Hope smiled and took the seat that he had vacated his feet from. "It's nice to meet you Caleb." She fell silent and looked out the window then shifted a bit in her seat. Her hip was doing that hurting thing again. Nothing was wrong with it exactly...just that phantom ache. "Crazy year right? Can't believe it was only my first. I can only imagine what will happen the other six."
She was trying small talk....she hated small talk. That just showed how much the year had changed her already. Quote:

Good, though. She noticed him. Exactly, what he was getting at.
Aaaand, that had to be the world's happiest 'Puff who joined them just then.
"Tell me about it! I mean there we were older than more than half the Professors on staff and yet we still had to be subjected to their whim and order. No respect at all!" But nothing about aches and pains from Cutty. Sure, he'd felt them, but being a cranky old man sort of suited this one. "I'm Cutty, by the way. Grace, was it?" He'd heard it over the opening feast.
Cutty's eyes floated toward the corridor in time to see Tobias, a dark cat and the girl he would refer to as Toby's succubus. A displeased, almost hurt expression crossed his face for the briefest moment before he was brought to by Caleb's own look of ... was it disapproval? Oh, Merlin! He hoped Caleb wasn't dating Hope Evans. That'd be disgusting. Disgusting and oh, so convenient.
"Oh, I was trying to develop temporary relief for the aging. You know something that went beyond the way it made us look." He unfastened the latch to his bag and began rummaging for the latest issue of his Quidditch magazine. "I arrived at Polyjuice Potion. The idea was that you could transform into your younger self if you had a sample from that period when you were young. It seemed to work out, but before I could share that with anyone, the Healers came in with the actual cure." Finding the publication, he produced it out of his bag with a crinkling sound. "Still, I think I'm going to write to Mesop and ask them about funding to explore the different and unintended uses for polyjuice." Cause if he had to spend his summer aboard instead of getting to go on that field trip he might as well be constructive. Though, he was quite perturbed at his mother for not allowing him to go, even when he said he could produce his own fare for it.
Lexa Cambridge appeared to be looking for the Prefects compartment...or was she? As she would've known where it was by now, no? Maybe she was still struggling with the potion taking it's effect and her mind still being a bit old. Bless her. Bless her and her gold-lined, undetectable extension charmed pockets. Hope chewed on her tongue wanting to point out all the other issues this boy had when it came to his manners but something in her held her back. She had managed to get through the last half of the year without fighting with anyone and she wasn't going to spend the train ride arguing with a boy. Then he pilled out something that she could talk about. Quidditch. "Do you play?" She nodded toward the magazine in his hand. "Or are you a just the average fan?" Would he even respond? So far all he'd done was jab her with a wand and give her and ugly look. Maybe that was just his natural look...
