There was a sort of acknowledgement from Emily when she spotted Genevieve, and the young woman saluted her boss but wisely decided not to comment. Commenting only ever got her in trouble, or got her more work, or got her a stinging insult from someone in charge, so she was just going to shut up.
Excepting, of course, if Kennedy or Simon required harrassment. It had always been easier for Genevieve to get along with her male peers than her female ones (although Aspen was an exception, obviously), and she was growing almost fond of Bossy Simon and Pretty Kennedy. Almost. Not quite to the point where she'd trust them not to let her die, but they were getting there.
She took up a position near Emily and a few feet from where Kennedy was already attacking the wall with gusto, and Genevieve joined the fray. "Defodio." She was a sick person, because she really liked breaking things like this.
