Andrew had a hard time holding back a chuckle at Justine's question. He had certainly been somewhere else, but probably nowhere near as profound or interesting as what Justine had in mind. Almost immediately, Andrew felt much better than he had when he sat down. He knew talking to somebody would help his fatigue, but similarly to how it had been when they last spoke at the Half-Hearted Ball, Justine truly intrigued him, and Andrew couldn't possibly place precisely what it was about her. Perhaps it was her accent, or her mannerisms, or the way she carried herself with such seemingly effortless elegance. Whatever it was, It was unique to her.
Justine quirked in eyebrow. A brain fart? What did that mean? She'd never heard such a term, obviously it had something to do losing yourself in your thoughts, or maybe it didn't? Maybe it was an actual thing that happened to people? She hated to ask the boy to clarify his meaning, but it seemed she was forced to.
"Vat is a... uh, brain fart? I 'av never 'eard of zis?" Justine said, furrowing her dark brows together in confusion. Just when she thought she was getting used to the English language again, someone would come up with another slang term that would throw her for a loop.
But even if the girl was feeling confused, she couldn't help also feeling rather pleased. Andrew was one of the few people in the school she had really connected with and seeing him after such a long and tiring day was therapeutic to the girl.
