He turned to look up at her when she started talking about her workplace. It sounded MUCH better than a tunnel. He fake!grumbles, suppressing a chuckle with another bite. "Hardly anyone is bothered by our vampire-friendly environment. But I spend all of my day inside when I'm at work. I'm starting to grow fangs." He attacked the sandwich exaggeratedly to prove it.

Vic was kind of adorable when he was being grumpy. January kept that thought to herself, though, because she assumed he wouldn't find it as funny or as cute as she did. Heh. So, he had some suspects in mind, did he? She raised her eyebrows. "Within the Ministry?" Employees? That was... interesting? It was unfortunate that the files he wanted were inside. "You're MLE, just... bust the walls down, or something." That was her brilliant suggestion. Though she imagined they had already tried that. She actually had no idea.

January laughed. "Not a show off. My department head apparently just has better taste in architecture than yours." She was always suspiciously curious about that Emily Browne. She ~~snorted~~ laughed when he dug into his sandwich, complaining about vampires. "Drama queen." Drama queen with fangs apparently.

She set half of her sandwich down and took a drink from her water bottle. She crossed one leg over the other and glanced at Vic before looking out at the pond again. "I'll be missing a few days of work this week," she said. "I'm leaving before the weekend and then I'll be back on Monday." Just in case he was wondering. 'Cause, you know, she was kind of hoping he would miss her. Because she'd miss him. Y'know. Just saying.
