Cutty considered the enlarging spell for the bunsen burner problem, but stopped himself realizing that a certain size it might have actually become unsafe to use as a source of heat. Professor Flamsteed had probably thought of that and Cutty was actually quite glad to have him there for the additional grey matter. Stop mistakes before they start. Competence. Yes. And, he seemed the enthusiastic sort that might volunteer if Cutty found he needed a human subject and worded it all just so. These were the thoughts going through the wee Mordaunt's mind as he pulled up a chair for Airey. "Take a seat, Professor?"

"No, Professor Flamsteed. Tell me all about it, wontchyer?" Cutty encouraged as he pulled out a small folded piece of parchment which held strands of his hair plucked from comb earlier on and crept ever closer to the cauldron which appeared to have a potion already in it.
