It hadn't come as a huge surprise that he was being difficult, it was probably what he called pay back for the times she'd given him grief, not that there were many of those, but nevertheless here they were, having one of those conversations. She didn't care if she was good or not, the fact of the matter was, she was here and he would indulge her... just as she had done all those times before. Of course it was a given he hadn't eaten, purely because she hadn't eaten yet also, and she was hungry. So he could hardly continue to stand around and be difficult. Regardless, she was all for making herself comfortable, pulling her seat a little closer to his desk - and closer to him. She sipped from her coffee before placing it on the corner of the desk nearest her and dove into the bag to start pulling out her meal.

Emily shrugged at his assessment, such a poor pupil she was. "Mmm... yes, and no." He was in fact welcome to continue working, she was here for the view and should she have questions to pester him with then he wouldn't be able to avoid answering them, thus conversation would flow and she would win. "The way I see it, you're the one losing out with that arrangement... because I still get what I want. But since I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, you're welcome to join me, it'd be more worth your while." Extracting one of the croissants wrapped in white paper, Emily held it out to him, her gaze still in the depths of the bag, anticipating the next extraction.
