Walking to her desk and sitting down, the brown eyes girl placed the books and paper stack down on the surface. Crossing her long left leg over her right, the taller girl cracked open the topmost thing on the pile and started reading.
She didn't want to be rude by not talking to Victoria, but she wanted to start reading so she wasn't spending all of her time doing this. She figured there was going to be other things to be done. And the twenty year old had learned her lesson on procrastinating on homework from Hogwarts. A lot of sleepless nights were spent in her favor. Though that might be a good thing. You grow in your sleep. And five foot eight Langen didn't really want to grow anymore.
Also, she would clean up in a bit. She just had to read this one thing and then she would make use of everything around her. Or if she couldn't there was always giving things to Victoria and or a few cleaning spells. Provided no one sees her. Though that couldn't happen. Right? She was going with right.
Also, she should say hi to someone. Make friends with the department. Besides being able to use them later on for good, it was also useful if you wanted a happy working environment. She had a Muggle job before. She knew how these things went. Ugh where to even begin. She knew she had to start somewhere and the new seasons schedule templates were probably the first place. Opening her bag she had made a few that she thought wouldn't be bad. She'd have to send them to the teams to see which they would prefer. Was she allowed to send owls here? Maybe she needed to run it by Mariel first and see and if they were where were the owls she used.
This could become rather difficult if she couldn't communicate with the teams. Just as she was about to get up to go find her friend someone came into the room. She gave the new girl a smile, but didn't think she saw. Watching her for a few seconds she couldn't shake the thought that the ministry allowed children to work here. It was no offense to her, but what did she really know about professional quidditch. At least Mariel use to play the sport professionally.
But she was going to give her a chance, maybe she would shock Vic. Walking over towards her she gave the young girl a smile, "Settling in alright?" She figured that was the best way to go. "I know regulations can be overwhelming, but if you need anything just let me know. I had helped Mariel with some before. I could never be as knowledgeable as she was at it, but I can at least help you get started if needed." She had played a bit and working here had learned more, but the PR side was more her thing anyway.
