Alex had mixed feelings right now; as in like why did Roxanne suddenly just LEAVE without any notice? Like what kind of person DID that? That was just plain rude. Oh right - a former prosecutor slash law enforcement type person. See this was why law enforcement people made terrible partners in a relationship. You couldn't trust them and they might just one day .... disappear on you. Astronomers were much more stable partners. Or Magizoologists; they knew how to care properly at least.
But why was she even thinking about this? Probably because of the notice about meeting a new department head and the MLE/A&C hide-and-seek activity she just came from. Maybe this was just a game about Roxanne? She was hiding? And being from Law Enforcement, she was a naturally good hider.
Entering the conference room, Alex spotted two people there already. New person with donuts and Jasmine. "Now there's the way to any witches heart - donuts!" Alex beamed in approval, taking the seat next to Jasmine. "May i?" Because she didn't want to just take one if they were for some activity planned. "Hiya Jasmine! Enjoy your winter break?"
