Leah watched absent-mindedly at a boy wandering around alone. She watched silently as Hope called him to their table, and started chatting with him like old friends. Only the atmosphere did not really seem like two old friends. Leah jolted out of her own thoughts back to the conversation.

"So... you guys know each other? Met in the summer?" Leah asked the two people. It looked like they had an incident, seeing Hope apologizing. She had known a lot of friends over the summer in Diagon Alley too, and most of them turned out good.

"Obviously I don't looooove Valentine's, I'm a single." Leah replied, pretending to look miserable and sighing into her knees. Actually, she did not mind much. But if she was single until her last year at Hogwarts, she would go crazy for sure. "But I'm glad this is a holiday, we get to have a party, hang around with friends, you know." Like right now!

Oh, Leah was speaking up. Benny listened quietly as she spoke with Hope, only speaking up when she questioned them having met before. "Yeah...a rather clumsy incident at the ice cream parlor." But then clumsy was him. It was a wonder he didn't spend a lot of time in the Hospital wing, especially with the changes. His movements limited by the aches and pains of looking and feeling like he was ancient. As for her own views on the holiday, the Gryffindor had to admit there were some positives.

NOT hanging with friends though.

The band was apparently ready to start. Ben couldn't help but be thankful that they weren't TOO close the stage but it certainly was gonna take some effort to deal with the loud music. He might just need to wander off if he needed a break from it.

Hope listened as Leah chimed in with her own thoughts on the school dance debate. She just shrugged. "I guess it would get boring. However, I would think that if I ever got the chance to help plan one I would love it. It would be so much fun." She was just a little crazy when it came to planning things. Everything. It was her job. Unofficially anyway.

Hope laughed and nodded. "Agreed. It isn't really the greatest holiday out there." Hope rolled her eyes playfully at Leah. "I guess if you want to look at like that." She was just stuck in the cootie phase still. Maybe. Just the thought of dating made her palms sweat and her stomach queasy and obviously she hadn't brought anyone to the dance and no one had asked her anyway.

The band was getting ready to start up and she shifted in her seat to give them her attention. "How cool is it that they actually have their own band formed just of Hogwarts students."
