Personality
Dexter is a total sweetheart. He's large and occasionally wears a gruff expression which may make him seem less approachable, but if approached, that demeanor changes in a flash, and he's instantly a happy go lucky puppybear. He has a very devoted personality and gets easily attached to things. As work was his first ever real love, he dedicates most of his time to that, the next major portion going toward his home life. He doesn't worry about much and often thinks of himself as Tamzin's rock. When he does get nervous it's often about Tamzin or the kids, rarely anything work-related as he usually feels in control with that. As far as his children go, Dexter is absolutely in love. Calliope was his only blood until Luca came along but this doesn't mean that he doesn't treat his step children just as he treats Cal. He goofs with them, plays and gets rough on occasions. His favorite game to play with the kids? Superhero. All adorning capes, they fly around the room together, and his goofy-fun-dad side comes out. His goofy side also comes out whenever he's with his best friend, Chase. Although this goofy side is slightly different. He's more competitive around Chase and often cracks jokes that children won't necessarily understand. I wouldn't say that Dex doesn't have his moments where he's grumpy and upset, because he does and often just hides out in his room and doesn't let people see. It also often results in ice cream eating and a super clingy Dex once he's feeling normal again.

Views Self - Dex thinks of himself as he is. He's a happy guy, he knows that. He may not always have a hop in his step but he always thinks of himself as having one. He's not one to care about how he looks, Tamzin always tries to convince him otherwise and often dresses him. But often, he's underdressed, rarely over dressed as he doesn't like suits or anything that isn't comfortable. Overall, Dex is very comfortable with himself and who he is.

Others View Them - Those that do not know him often think of him as unapproachable, aloof, standoffish and generally not someone they would like to chat with. When it comes down to his work, he is genuinely serious and dedicated which may come across to people as either someone they can't speak with outside of work or someone they ought to be more like or anything, really. But if approached with questions, it's easily seen that he is very down to earth and happy to help others.
