Furiously, Lux wrote down more notes as she listened to Professor Botros explain the different kinds of Runix Wards. It sounded like something that was rather complex, but she was confident that she got the gist of it. Time for her to take out her textbook and get to work.
On a separate piece of paper, she wrote out what each Rune was, placing a few meanings she found beside each:

First Line
1. Gebo - gift, partnership, love
2. Ehwaz - transportation, motion, power
3. Dagaz - happiness, success, satisfaction
Second Line
4. Othala - poverty, bad karma, loss of land or wealth
5. Jera - productivity, change, motion
6. Hagalaz - loss, hardship, sickness
7. Thurisaz - too resistant to change, seeing only the short term, not dealing with adversity
Third Line
8. Teiwaz - over-analysis, imbalance, blocked energy and creative flow
9. Isa - reflection, blockage, patience
10. Algiz - warning, defences down, turning away
Hopefully this was correct; seeing that some of the Runes had been written on their sides or upside down, she had written the inverted meanings.
Hearing a crash, Lux winced and looked over to see that Bart had fallen forward on the floor. Worried, she watched as the Professor went over to him, hoping that he was okay. |
