Knuckleheads they were, glorified air breathers. "And you must be Ms Theodori, welcome," she greeted a hand extended for a shake. She didn't bother introducing herself, it was clear enough who she was, no? Quote:

Emily flipped open her folder, having not said a word in return thus far, and cast her eyes down the list on the first page. "Abandoned boat yard," she supplied without further detail. Those could come later. Work ought to be the focus of the woman's attention.
Oactavia appeared well put together, and the firm handshake exuded confidence. Good. As for the location being unusual? ... Emily supposed it was, but it made perfect sense to her, hence her choosing it in the first place. Minus the occasional hum from the passing trains at the active end of the network, and the pitter patter of little feet -- the non-child variety, it was peaceful and private. "It'll grow on you, you'll see," or perhaps not, either way, she didn't care. This was temporary, because Merlin knew she'd blast her way back into the Ministry if she had to.
Patience was low, so all she could do was suffer in silence by sitting a while longer. How hard was it to catch a train in? Really?
…
Vic's usual cheerfulness was lacking, and this, did not go unnoticed. "Hey to you too," she replied, eyes on him. Did they need to have a talk after this? Hhhmm?
Suddenly feeling more lenient, Emily checked her watch in the dim light before glancing around the space. They could wait another minute or two. "Final call," she projected down the tunnel. The echo would reach the stragglers. See? Tunnels be useful. Blaise watched as Emily glided across the room in all her Department Head fashion. It didn't seem to phase her about the location of where they were at, but he was almost positive this was one of the worst possible spots to be put. It was interesting watching all of the people enter the work area - the varying ages and appearances of all of them. And then some younger girl yelling about rats... That was something he had noticed too, but was surprised he hadn't seen any more of them.
Even then, it didn't surprise him with the tarnished reputation that MLE was sporting here recently. Yeah... That probably had something to do with it.
Blaise raised an eyebrow at her with her comment in passing. Why would she need to talk to him? It was his first day back. There couldn't have been anything he did wrong already, there was no way. "Yes Ms. Boss Lady," he replied, holding onto his own folder and re-positioning himself on the desk he had accustomed his rear end on.
So... the meeting... would it start soon?
