She knew Alec was busy studying for NEWTs in there and he'd definitely come this way when he left. Ella did feel kind of guilty about wasting candy, though. Only kind of because lately she'd been thinking more and more about how it rotted your teeth and perhaps fruit was a better thing to eat and--oh gosh, she was turning into Oakey! O.o ANYWAY, despite being conflicted on the subject, she continued on, stopping the trail only when she was at the opposite end of the hallway to where the entrance was and in a spot she could hide herself away until she heard him coming.

And now she just needed to wait. Nervously too because even though they'd been dating for quite a while, there was still a chance that Alec Summers wasn't so keen on having a wrinkly, grey Head Girl for a Valentine. And on the off chance that this was the case, she was going to pretend she'd taken an interest in deep sea fishing and declare that as her knew life path to save herself from any embarrassment. YUP. Solid backup plan, that was. Smart Ella Bishop was smart. And dressed as a fisherwoman. And extremely anxious.

Oh gosh, please let this work.
How long had he spent studying? An hour? Two? Five minutes? Most of the DAY? In all honesty, Alec didn't really remember but it did feel like he had cooped himself up in that library for a long time. Studying was hard, you know. And it took him a really long time to bring himself up to open his textbook and notes that he needed to try and memorise. There had been no food there, either. None. What a tra--

... BLINK.

Oh?

Where those... fishes?! All thoughts of grabbing himself a snack were forgotten as he squinted down at the food on the ground. Who would leave fish lying around? Was he meant to follow it? And, very importantly, why couldn't he see these fishes properly? The boy rubbed his eyes before blinking up at the corridor ahead. So... the fishes were leading towards... somewhere. End of the corridor.

... Yeah... Alec was confused. ... And curious. So what was he going to do? Follow it, of course!

Readjusting his grip on his bag, the boy started ambling forwards, following the line of the fishes. It probably wasn't that hard since no other interesting items were on the ground. Just the fish. But looking down at them was giving him an odd crick at the back of his neck, which he went ahead to rub at. After a loooooong while, Alec reached a spot that was at the opposite end of the hallway from the entrance to the library. Still confused, he looked up and down the corridor. Had he reached his destination or...?
