Harper burst into tears. Some of them were even genuine at the thought of not seeing him 'Melia for a long, long time. He also dropped to the floor. Even if an adult had seen that the girl didn't push him he could tell them that she was being mean to him and he wouldn't even be lying. Take that meanie pants! Gwen was just looking through the sugar quills, deciding which ones she wanted, when the kid started crying. She turned around and saw him on the floor. She also noticed some people were starting to look their way. She did not want to get in trouble. It was bad enough she knew she was going to get in trouble for sneaking away.
Great. Gwen was going to have to apologize. She leaned down to the floor. "Get up kid. You're making a scene." And if that didn't work. "...and I'msorry." She mumbled that last bit, not very happy she had to say it. Score one that kid.
