Now she'd dragged him here to go shopping at some place he didn't remember. She'd met up with other grown ups and they were saying mean things about Daddy. Besides he wanted sweets and she'd said they could come in here but she'd forgotten. Harper hadn't though and he had money left over from Christmas so he could buy some of his own sweets and then get back to her. Gwen managed to wander away from her father. Sure, he'd brought her here, but he'd run into some old friends from school and she did NOT want to sit and listen to old people talk. Their conversations were always so boring.
So when they weren't looking...she just slunk off. And found her way to the candy shop. Thankfully her mum had given her some money from Christmas and she was planning on spending it today. What better way then on candy?
Gwen was just walking through the store when she bumped into another kid. "Hey. Watch it." He was in her way and she didn't need to draw attention to herself. Might be an adult around to try and make her go back with her dad.
